MSFP 504 The Effective Executive Leader

This course examines how to be an effective executive from a leadership viewpoint. A focus on executive presence and executive leadership distinguishes from general leadership skills. The student analyzes executive leadership influence through individual, interpersonal, and institutional relationships. Students analyze what it takes to be an effective executive including various leadership styles, and utilization of functional leadership theories as well as contemporary practices. Executive decision making and corporate governance challenge the students to see the organization from a senior leadership perspective.
